Monsters x Puddle of Mudd

“Monsters x Puddle of Mudd” is the official music film for Puddle of Mudd’s latest single, commissioned by Wes Scantlin. Blending some UE cinematics with most AI-generated visuals, it portrays the frontman’s inner battle as he confronts the chaos of fame and the monsters within. The visuals for Monsters were inspired by the duality between illusion and identity — how fame can distort self-perception. I sought to translate Wes Scantlin’s emotional history into surreal, symbolic spaces that feel like fragments of his subconscious. Through dreamlike corridors — metaphors for the entertainment industry, fame, popularity, and public judgment — carnivals, and a haunting encounter with a clown that mirrors himself, Monsters unfolds as a surreal meditation on self-destruction, forgiveness, and creative rebirth.

We leverage a hybrid pipeline that integrates 3D production with AI-driven tools to unlock a new level of visual storytelling. By combining precise, controllable 3D environments with the generative flexibility of AI, we are able to rapidly prototype, iterate, and expand creative possibilities beyond traditional workflows.
